I have to be honest with you. There was a moment in this recording where I had to stop myself from crying.
Dan was describing the moment, two thousand years ago, when thousands of Passover lambs were being slaughtered in the Temple courts, their blood running down the drain and out toward the Kidron Valley, at the exact same moment that Jesus, the Lamb of God, was dying on the hill of Golgotha. The same hour. The same day. The same city. Fifteen hundred years after God had first established that hour and that day as the appointed time for the slaughter of lambs.
Dan calls it divine orchestration on a scale that takes the breath away. He is not wrong.
In Episode 3, we went deep into the parallels between the Mosaic and Messianic covenants, laying the two timelines side by side and tracing the correspondences event by event and day by day. The triumphal entry on the tenth of Nisan, exactly fifteen hundred years after the first Selection Day in Egypt. The crucifixion on the fourteenth of Nisan, Preparation Day, when all the lambs were always slaughtered. The resurrection on the eighteenth of Nisan, the feast of Firstfruits, the day appointed for the first sheaf of the harvest to be waved before God as a pledge of the full harvest to come.
And then there is the detail that most of us were never taught: the triumphal entry falls on a Saturday, not a Sunday. The crucifixion falls on a Wednesday, not a Friday. These are not minor adjustments to tradition. They are the fingerprints of a God who fulfilled His own pattern to the exact day.
There is something deeply settling about Dan said something in our conversation that I keep returning to. He said that God did not approximately fulfil the pattern. He fulfilled it to the day. That level of precision is not the work of chance or coincidence. It is the work of a God who is both sovereign over history and deeply, personally invested in making sure we notice.understanding that God does not improvise. He planned. He prepared. He established a pattern long before the fulfilment arrived. That means nothing in your own story is wasted either. The things God has been doing in you over years and decades are preparation, not delay.
